The Metropolitan Cooking & Entertaining Show was founded by Denise Medved in 2005. She loves cooking, great food, entertaining, being entertained and just having a great time in general.

She is the author of two cookbooks: The Tiny Kitchen Cooking and Entertaining and The Bachelor’s Tiny Kitchen. She also has considerable and tested experience in the tradeshow and conference industry. With nearly 20 years of experience, she has held senior management positions at Reed Exhibition Companies, IDG World Expo and National Trade Productions, Inc.

In July 2005, Ms. Medved decided to marry her passion of cooking and entertaining, and her success with The Tiny Kitchen cookbooks, with her tradeshow and conference business experience. She sold her interest in a series of three homeland security tradeshows she launched between 2002 and 2004, and is now focusing her energy on developing The Metropolitan Cooking & Entertaining Show. She combines her valuable business experience, successful track record in tradeshow and conference development, entrepreneurial spirit, and her long-standing passion for cooking and entertaining. Ms. Medved has assembled a team of tradeshow industry experts and veterans to manage The Metropolitan Cooking & Entertaining Show.

Her excellent and long-standing track record in the tradeshow and conference industry speaks for itself. Most recently she co-founded and co-owned GOVSEC, The Government Security Conference and Expo in 2002, U.S. LAW, the U.S. Law Enforcement Conference and Expo in 2003 and READY, the Emergency Preparedness Conference and Expo in 2004. Significantly, GOVSEC was recognized by Tradeshow Week in 2002 as one of the most successful tradeshow launches in the prior five years, and in 2005 and 2009, was named to the prestigious TSW “Fastest Fifty List” based on the show’s dramatic growth. The TSW Fastest Fifty List recognizes the fastest fifty growing tradeshows across all industries in the U.S. and Canada.

Ms. Medved’s newest venture, The Tiny Kitchen Television Show, is dedicated to overcoming the challenges of cooking and entertaining within the confines of a tiny kitchen. As the show host, she provides practical, fun and unintimidating solutions for hosts and hostesses who have limited space and minimal resources. The show introduces the viewer to a variety of recipes, menus, entertaining ideas and products to get the creative juices flowing. The first season of The Tiny Kitchen Television Show will be filmed and produced this summer by Taste This TV for Fall 2007 distribution and airing. The show will air on select stations owned by Clear Channel and The America One Network.

In addition, Ms. Medved created The Tiny Kitchen 2¢, a free, opt-in e-postcard for cooking and entertaining enthusiasts. The Tiny Kitchen 2¢ offers editorial and opinions featuring cooking and entertaining tips, new products and services and recipe reviews. The subscriber is invited to give their 2¢ on such topics.

The Tiny Kitchen, Inc. introduces cooking and entertaining enthusiasts to a delightful mix of products and services through The Metropolitan Cooking & Entertaining Show, The Tiny Kitchen Television Show, The Tiny Kitchen 2¢, and The Tiny Kitchen cookbook series. Ms. Medved’s goal is to provide the latest trends and ideas for cooking and entertaining while motivating you to have fun in your own kitchen.
