Planning for post production can be daunting. After all, how do you plan for something before you’ve even shot any footage? Please join us on Wednesday April 20th as we bring together a panel of independent film and video professionals to share their expertise on editing, sound mixing and special effects.Speakers include Becky Varni, Bottom Floor Studios and Arlington Independent Media and Zhibo Lai, Reel Light Films

Becky Varnihas been working at Arlington Independent Media since 2007. She produces Grip Kit, This Week at AIM, and The Other Sports Show. Becky also does equipment/data management and teaches sections for all of AIM’s production workshops. Becky graduated from George Mason University in 2008 from Comm and FAVS. Beyond AIM, Becky teaches Comm 355 at GMU, functions as a freelance editor and is part of a DC independent film collective working on all kinds of indie video projects year round.Zhibo Lai is a DC area filmmaker turned visual effects artist. He obtained his training at fxphd, an online VFX school taught by industry professional. His specialties include compositing,object removal, green screen, and 2D/3D tracking.
