Event Details

Do you speak a foreign language? Our “Languages of the World series” is on one of our most popular events. We have been offering this monthly event to our multilingual members for over 4 years and we keep on getting requests to add new languages. After speaking Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, German, Russian Arabic, and, Japanese in previous months, this month we will practice French, Spanish, German, Italian, and Russian.

Come stimulate your brain cells with us by speaking a foreign language! We recommend that you sign up early to secure your space.

As usual, we will keep the groups small and assign you to a group that reflects best your speaking ability. Experienced speakers will take part in the discussion and will be available to facilitate conversations, answer questions, and make you progress! We’ll do our best to make you feel comfortable and have fun while meeting other ICDC members who share the same interest in foreign languages.

Are you a native speaker? If you are a native speaker of the languages we are practicing this month, and would like to share your language with other club members, please e-mail us at Info@InternationalClubDC.com.

Please note that outside food is not allowed at Teaism.

Last season, eight colored women from the east coast brought to sold out houses, honest and invigorating performances that moved audiences to demand more..This season, we are proud to answer that call by bringing to the stage “For Colored Girls Waiting to Exhale” with additional stories of women from the African Diaspora.

From the shores of Africa to the streets of Harlem, join us as we explore “herstory”, from colored girls to black women, finding their moments to exhale. This is a limited engagement opening January 29th & 30th @ 7pm and January 31st @ 5pm. Three shows only! If you missed the first two runs or even if you didn’t, you don’t want to miss this expanded version of the show.

Pre-sales have already moved us dangerously close to a sell out..again! So don’t wait to claim your seat. We appreciate your enthusiasm and support…looking forward to seeing you there!

About Art Creates Life

ACL was founded by Executive Director, Tracie S. Jenkins in the summer of 2002. It was housed in the Johnson Memorial Baptist Church opening its’ program with 12 students.
