DC Music Lovers it is one of the hottest (literally and figuratively) weekends in DC for music.  Memorial Day tends to kick off the summer music season with cook outs – however if you like music with your hot dogs and burgers – then festivals, National Mall events, jazz, world music and more is what’s in store this weekend…  Whether you enjoy sitting in an air-conditioned theater or arena, being outdoors on the grass or mixing your music with food and festival fun – there is an unlimited amount of music performances, both day and night, to fulfill whatever tickles your musical fancy.

If you thought last weekend’s musical calendar carried a heavy load, then you are not even prepared for the DC Music Scene!!  Make sure to pack your sunscreen, some bottled water and maybe break out your bicycle (gas is really high) because this weekend’s music events are taking us outside so join me, mother nature and DC music lovers as we soak up some sun, fun and great music.

Of course it goes without saying that the DC Music scene offers music lovers such an eclectic mix of international, national and local recording artists.  For true music lovers, sometimes it’s simply impossible to keep up with all the shows, concerts, festivals, listening parties, private performances, and “guest performances”.  The fact is, the DC Music scene has something to offer everyone.

Every week a humble short list offering of the weekends music events & concerts will provided.  As we gear up for the summer concert season, this week features acts from Fantasia to Everclear to B.o.B. to Cassandra Wilson to Jason Isbell.  Once again, the weekend is undoubtly bringing music “worth listening to” to the Nation’s Capital.
