We’re more hype than anyone for Marvel’s Black Panther movie out in February, and Ta-Nehisi Coates’ Black Panther comic run has been the biggest book in the history of Fantom Comics. On top of that, we’ve got one of the best blerd communities around–so it’s a no-brainer that we’re gonna put together a Black Panther-inspired fashion show, featuring a mix of cosplay and Wakandan street fashion. On top of that, the event will feature a marketplace of local black creators selling their jewelry, clothing, and other Afrofuturist fashion accessories!

Shoot for Change is proud to present a very special black and white photo exhibition in Washington DC. Several leaders from various nonprofit organizations were invited to participate in an “Old Hollywood” fashion editorial.  With the help of some of the most talented stylists, hair stylists, and makeup artists in the area, these nonprofit organization leaders were transformed and sent into the glamorous world of classic movie stars.  In addition to their photographs, each one of the nonprofit organization leaders wrote a one-page essay on what inspires them to do what they do and what inspires them to keep doing it.

Please join us for this one of a kind photo exhibit featuring leaders of our local nonprofit organizations.

TLC’s hit television series What Not to Wear is coming to Houston, TX and we are looking for people who will nominate a female friend, family member or co-worker whose wardrobe is screaming for a complete transformation. Is there someone you know who is an EXTREME fashion disaster or is completely missing the mark? Now is your chance to help her score a new $5,000 wardrobe plus an all-expenses-paid trip to New York City to receive a complete professional makeover.

The goal of our show is to SURPRISE ladies who are in need of a fashion “do-over” and whisk them away to New York City for the transformation of a lifetime. It is the ultimate fashion intervention!

Nominees should appear to be between the ages of 25 and 45 and have an outgoing personality.
