We’re more hype than anyone for Marvel’s Black Panther movie out in February, and Ta-Nehisi Coates’ Black Panther comic run has been the biggest book in the history of Fantom Comics. On top of that, we’ve got one of the best blerd communities around–so it’s a no-brainer that we’re gonna put together a Black Panther-inspired fashion show, featuring a mix of cosplay and Wakandan street fashion. On top of that, the event will feature a marketplace of local black creators selling their jewelry, clothing, and other Afrofuturist fashion accessories!

EVERYONE IS ENCOURAGED TO DRESS FOR THIS OCCASION

Marketplace opens at 6pm
Fashion show begins at 7pm
There will be alcohol for sale–all ages are welcome, but you must be 21 to drink!

OUR LIVES ON THE LINE

Rachel… TODAY’S THE DAY!

We’re kicking off our D.C. rally at 6:30 p.m. with actor Justin Long and Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi at Freedom Plaza and will end it with a march to the White House to deliver one, simple, important message:

OUR LIVES ARE ON THE LINE if Republicans take away health care from millions of Americans.

Get all the details on the event here — and make sure to bring your friends along:

Join us in DC

While we won a very important battle Thursday night, President Trump and Congressional Republicans won’t stop doing everything they can to take away our health care — so let’s get out there and fight like hell to protect it.

See you in a few hours!

— The Our Lives on the Line team

P.S. Don’t forget to post your photos and videos of the rally on Facebook and Twitter using the hashtag #OurLives so we can share them!
